Short Term andReduced Fee Offering
Consistent sessions lead to progress. This offer supports a focused start to treatment and builds a foundation for ongoing work while alleviating the financial burden of out of network payments.
For 3 months clients pay a monthly fee of $375 and may schedule 2-4 sessions. This is a temporary reduced out of network fee to support clients in accessing frequent appointments to benefit their start to treatment.
What happens after 3 months?
-
After 3 months the fee returns to the per session rate of $135. The client will have an opportunity to explore options for continuing treatment in a way that is suitable to their mental health needs and their financial means. There are various options:
-
Clients may choose to pause treatment. Sometimes 3 months is “enough for now”
-
It is hard to sense how much a thing is worth the while until you are in it. After having the felt experience of frequent and consistent treatment sessions a client may feel motivated to make budget shifts to continue frequent sessions at the standard rate.
-
Clients can reduce frequency to 2 times a month or 1 time a month. Shara can support clients in exploring accessible resources that can supplement treatment ( such as workshops and groups).
-
Shara can provide referrals to in network therapists or groups where clients can access frequent sessions with low financial burdens.
This may not be a good fit if…
-
You are experiencing a mental health crisis including suicidal ideation or self harm ideation
-
You are experiencing a major life event such as a loss
-
You are experiencing significant distress on a regular basis
What if I am in network with Highmark or United Health Care?
-
I am in network with these providers and you can start treatment and use your coverage with me. We can approach treatment within the framework of working towards short term therapy goals with the possibility of extending care.
What can be done in 3 months?
-
With this offering a client may be able to have 6-12 sessions, and that’s a solid start to developing therapeutic intentions, goals, orientation, and tangible coping tools. In addition, as Shara is a somatic therapist, these initial frequent sessions can help to introduce and develop somatic practices including body awareness exercises and guided meditations.
